Visitability: addressing inequities in home design

Eleanor Smith – the champion of Visitability in the US – talks of her experience growing up as a wheelchair user and the indignity of not being able to access the homes of friends and neighbours. Towards the end of the eight minute video she talks about the resistance of the building industry to incorporate the three design features that are the basis of Visitability.  A simple but compelling video.
