Universally designed street signage

tactile street signsJohn Evernden reminds us that not everyone can read a street sign, and if you are deaf/blind it is no use asking anyone for directions. The new tactile street signage is being rolled out in Sydney – there is similar in Brisbane. A considerable amount of research went into choosing the best materials for the job as well as other design features. The good part of this signage is that it is helpful for everyone – it is universally designed!
