In his budget speech he said that Council will, “deliver an infrastructure charges rebate of 33 per cent over the next three years to those who are building universal housing for multiple dwellings and residential care facilities if they meet the industry “Gold” standard for Livable Housing Design Guidelines when the building is constructed and certification is demonstrated.”

They will also look at introducing future City plans that will require Livable Housing Design Silver level as the new minimum standard for all new dwellings, “for a city where everyone feels they belong”.
