Many people are familiar with the basics, but not everyone understands universal design in the same way. The course covers the classic definition and the 8 goals of universal design as well as stereotyping and diversity. The activities are fun to do and at the end you can print out your certificate of completion. The course is structured to take one hour.

The course explores the issues and impact of applying universal design features in all new and extensively renovated homes. It gives a statistical context, discusses the economics of households, sustainability and housing affordability. The Livable Housing Design Guidelines are discussed in the context of drawing together the issues and solutions. The course is structured to take two hours.
